so I've been working in

journals

I still can't believe

how quickly the time goes by

while I work

or the amount of work I

can get done in an

hour

 

my little garden is

blooming

even the vines

and the butterflies, bees and hummingbirds

enjoy it as much as I do

 

 on Instagram

 artists are challenging others

to #drawthisinyourstyle

so I tried a couple

 

 also i'm starting a mixed media journal group

at work

we will be making art journals

out of composition books

and experimenting with

paint, markers, collage,

inside

 

loving:

that cross stitch chicken pattern

cloud shadows

thunder and lightning

has kept me so busy

that painting

has been

slipped my mind

maybe it's color that inspires me

more than ideas

idk

but I am loving

adding the next row

on top of colors

I would never

pick on my own

but I love anyway

and the surprise I feel

when they look

perfectly

matched

hopefully I will be

less afraid

when I start back to

painting

 

also I'm looking forward

to fall

I cleaned up

my fire pit

and built a couple of fires

it was actually cool

last night

perfect for sitting

and talking

and laughing

and stoking

and just enjoying

the flames

and the warmth

 

funny how

the last of my zinnias

are as colorful

as my yarn

 

loving

spiders and their webs

reading harry potter slowly

coffee on cooler mornings

mushrooms popping up like magic

watching whole seasons on Netflix

drives in the white car

and

making plans and lists

for things to come

Loving // my new red chairs

Eating // healthier and staying full

Drinking // lots of water and enjoying the occasional sweet tea or coke

Feeling // really good and full of energy

Making // art and crocheting new dish rags

Thinking // that I still can't believe I can take so many steps in a day

Dreaming // of floating in the ocean

I've had a busy week

and i'm tired

but a good tired because I've gotten 

a lot of stuff done

sunday is becoming my favorite day

I take the whole day off

and do nothing

( though I will go to church)

I don't walk, don't cook, don't clean...

 

just enjoy

 

watch a movie, or get on Netflix, 

crochet, read, anything mindless and easy

and I feel wonderful on Monday, ready to go. I have worked a little on my painting, crocheted three dish rags, had a fairy party at work, took a drive in the trans am with the tops out, went with 

bobby to feed the fish at the pond, washed my car by myself, cleaned the back porch and all the furniture and planted some flowers in my garden. So I will definitely enjoy this sunday off.
