december...

Whoa! December is already gone. I'm afraid I spent most of it sick with cold after cold,
In between coughing, sneezing and sleeping I did get a bit done.

    First I finished my crochetmoodblanket2014!

Cleaned up and reorganized my art room.

    Got my tree decorated.

    Then made some new ornaments.

    A cute Mr. Darcy.

     And some crocheted mandalas.

    I also painted this.

So I've been more creative than I thought and that's a
good thing. Plans for next year are constantly running
   through my brain...

peachy

I've been planning to paint the cover of my art journal for weeks now. I found an old
hymnal at a flea market last weekend so I pulled out a page to use. I knew I wanted
to use  black and white and I picked peaches again yesterday so I was lovin some
peachy colors. This is what came of all that.

I kept going cause it was fun and finished the inside front pages. I love this type of art
because I really have no idea what it will look like until I finish. Thanks Kelly Rae Roberts
for teaching this e-course! There is a link to it on the side, she is starting another one soon.

a little crochet while the meat is boiling

oh man! homemade beef stew, poured over a piece of white bread...dang that was good!

a trip to the ocean

We went on a trip to Florida last week. The blue ocean, the soft white sand, the busy
birds, the cute little white crabs, the oh so beautiful clouds in the sky, the warm breeze,
relaxing under a blue umbrella in the shade, the sound of the waves, floating in the
water with little fish around you and sea gulls flying overhead, walking along the shore
finding tiny seashells that had washed up, the grass covered sand dunes, it was all so
    wonderful...

twenty years

I realized the other morning as I was driving to work
that I have lived my life in 20 year increments.

1st 20 years ~ my childhood, living at home with little
 responsibility.

2nd  20 years ~ a married, stay at home mom.

     3nd 20 years ~a divorced working mom

I have now hit my next 20 year period. It has begun with a
new husband, an empty nest and working an hour away from
home.  I am looking forward to retiring but still have a few
years til thats a possibility.  I know that i want to fill this period
of time with lots of creating!  I have started painting again and
have taught myself how to knit and crochet.  So i'm off to a good
start. I have loved each phase of my life and really wouldn't have
done anything differently. I have learned a lot, got to know some
amazing people, overcome fears and finally accepted who i am.
