the daisies are here
on the sides of the road
filling the fields
oh how i love them!
i know they don't smell very good
but they are sooooo
yellow and white
on a long green stem
i love to pick a big bunch of them
and put them in a jar
i finally finished my
praying girl
and i'm happy with her
then i started the painting above
when i added the solid color
around her
i loved it
and didn't want to do anything else
to her
so i left her as is
i'm loving having my coffee outside, sitting and working
in my artroom (that is partially clean YAY)
puppies in my lap, baby geese, mushrooms sprouting up, seeing a  bald eagle in the field
and being able to walk 10,000 steps
a day.

pretty girls

another week has already passed by
Easter has come and gone
summer is going to
be here before we know it
and i will be painting
pretty girls
it's really fun to see them
painting with no real plans
is different for me
and I truly enjoy it
i'm loving the wildflowers, yummy smoothies,
parties at work,
how strong my legs are getting,
and my fitbit that reminds me
to move
not loving the pollen
choking my husband
and turning my car yellow

glad to be alive

I've had quite a week!
excitement in the form of escaped cows
and a near death experience
five white cows escaped their pastures and were on
the highway
three police cars with lights going
a four wheeler and a man shaking
a feed sack trying to herd them
back home
I couldn't resist sitting out on my
porch to watch
finally the man with the feed sack
got them all to cross the road
and they headed my way
as the cows went past I sat very still
so I wouldn't spook them
I didn't think they would even notice me
but every white head turned and looked me right in the
eye as they passed
I won't forget the look on their faces
fear, threat, RUN!
and run they did!
the man with the feed sack apologized as he
walked by
little did he know he made my day
now for the other event
I was sitting at the table
finishing my lunch as I worked on my budget
I had it all worked out
and took a deep breath
as I did I sucked a little bit of food into my
and thought "crap"
I started coughing of course
then noticed I could hardly breathe
ok now panic sets in
cause I'm alone
I cough, I run outside, I run back inside,
still choking I figure I better
grab my phone
and text my husband
I run back outside and cough really hard
the food shoots out of my mouth
thank goodness
so I call my husband who comes running from next door
and that was my near death experience
I swore I would never eat again
but I did
glad to be alive
i'm loving the goldfinch at my feeders, watching the hummingbirds
fight for their territory, making some progress on my art room, sleeping late, watching my seedlings grow, and Netflix.

we've had a week of weird weather here. one day it's cool and the next it's hot. then come the storms and it's cool again.
today is a cool day with
clear blue skies.
flowers are filling up the shops and i'm
ready to plant some myself.
i started zinnias and morning glory's from
seeds. they are growing fast.
i've been trying to cut down on sugar
but i'm not doing very well.
i've been craving Krispie Kreme donuts
and gave in to that yesterday.
i found Brach caramels earlier this week and had to get them
because I haven't seen them in years. then that cute cherry candy I just couldn't resist. I haven't been able to eat that cause it's so cute.
i'm loving walking every day and getting stronger, the warm bubbly therapy pool, seeing hummingbirds back,
playing pokemon on my brand new game boy (i know it's embarrassing),
drawing and painting, and watching Netflix.
