I had a checkup this week and though my health is good, my weight isn't. I knew that of course but when the doctor says something it's time to get to work. So I put myself back on Weight Watchers. After being on it for a few days I realized it's all about being mindful. Paying attention to what you are eating and how much exercise you are getting. So I decided to make a list to help me remember.
[the losses]
large Sonic drinks
daily treats (ice cream, candy, cake etc.)
not having to think about what i'm eating
lounging on the couch most of the day
[the benefits]
feeling good
no cravings
more in control
learning to make better choices
enjoying nature daily
a tidier home
a happier husband
eating home cooked meals
no more guilt
I realized that I'm really not giving up that much
but gaining so much more.
This post is mainly to remind me when I mess up
and I will mess up
to just start again and keep going.
